  If the WTS keeps hiding cases of child abuse, they'll soon find themselves in the same position as the Catholic Church. Once that happens, many JWs will think twice about going door to door. Think about it, would you get up early in the morning only to be accused of hiding perverts at the KH?

  Just as the WTS had a mass exodus in 1975 over an unfulfilled prophecy, another exodus will soon take place as a result of the child abuse crisis. Keep in mind, that in both cases, they created the problem for themselves. They can't blame the world, or Satan.

  i read your reply to 'not fitting' and i'm sorry to hear that only one person welcomed you to the board.

  you have to forgive some of us because the board moves quickly and trying to read as many posts as possible and make replies is a chore within itself.

  Should the U.S. Release Photos of the Hussein Son's?

  my *personal* opinion is that they should because the people of iraq will probably require some proof.

  i don't have any interest in seeing the photos but i believe that their photos will spread throughout the internet and the news media and curiosity will eventually cause me to peek at the photos.

  don't know why i would have interest in seeing a couple of lifeless bodies though.

  it was undoubtedly asked with the thought in mind that we weren't fulfilling our dedication to jehovah?

  What I'm doing is, telling my neighbors to keep their kids out of the KH until the WTS is ready to produce a list of all the perverts playing the role of elder at their local KH. That's good news to any parent.

  If the millions of JWs worldwide had any dignity, they would make a stand for truth where it counts.

  How many of you went to the elders when you / someone did something wrong ?

  i've read a lot of threads of late, where people stated when they did something wrong they would go the elders the next day and confess.. i find this truly bizzare !!!.

  okay, maybe i didn't have a conscience as a jw, i did alot of things wrong, but, that would be the f--kin' day i would go to the elders and confess anything.

  i would never tell those old goots anything, because then they would have something to hang over you for a long time.

  I've found that JW wives are usually the first to go to the elders when the hubby isn't being man enough in the home. If he decides to stay home a couple of Saturdays, or if he goes out for beers with the guys, you can count on his wife to rat him out.

  But of course, when the wife decides to keep a stack of romance novels hidden in her dresser, or when she's up all night visiting chat rooms, there's no one making phone calls about her. Do you think a husband is going to call another man and tell on his wife?

  2 policemen shot, it looks like an attempt to assasinate the new york mayor.

  apparently he is safe.. i would have loved to live in new york a few years ago.

  it looks like its the most dangerous place to live right now, not because of the current attempt to shoot the mayor but because it is the centre of worl attention and any nut case wanting world attention simply has to do some act of terrrorism there.. would you live there?.

  I'm from NYC and have been following the story all day. It appears that a politician was killed by a rival who couldn't get his petition in on time to receive campaign funds.

  It just amazes me how easy it is to infiltrate City Hall with a gun. All you need to do is be nice to the security guards for a couple of days and you're in.

  I was glad to hear that it wasn't related to terrorism. Had it been so, there would have been a riot.

  i have a question for you who have a background of being wittness.i was forced to become a wittness by my mother.now when i am older i feel nothing but hatred becourse of that damnable brainwash.from my early boyhood i have allways been attracted with what is called satanism.this i confess now.the only true religion for me.that's i ask from you folks.is there anyboby out there who confess satanism after leaving jw's?

  If you think that the JWs have their act all mixed up, try finding a Satanic church that has it's own story straight. Depending on which one you go to, you'll hear something different. Who really knows how to worship Satan anyway?

  If you really want to walk down that path, you're better off joining a Voodoo/Santeria cult. At least the followers are more in touch with the traditions and practices.

  organization here with us is this... next year, all you just faded ones, (the ones not disfellowshipped or disassociated) go to the memorial and "drink the wine and eat the unleavened bread"... .. brilliant isnt it.

  I think the easiest and most cost effect way is to write letters to local community newspaper editors. They're often looking for a good story (they can only write about so many car accidents) and will gladly take all our documentation and run with it. Most community newspapers are free and are distributed by the thousands. As a matter of fact, Brooklyn alone was a couple of dozen local papers.

  We should all post the addresses of these newspapers so we can send them something via email. Who wants to go first?
